Every day older is a day harder in the fitness world.
The workouts you do today determine who you will be in 10 years.
If you are fat, miserable and a physical wreck in the making today, but do nothing about it, why would you think it would be easier out there some mystical day in the future when you now “get it” and are ready to go?
Look at people slightly older than you are. If they struggle with their weight, their health and their ability to just move, all that just didn’t happen overnight.
We don’t go to bed a perfect specimen and then, “Poof” like magic, we wake up a fitness disaster modeling for the “before” pictures at your local gym.
Destroying your body isn’t a quick and easy thing to do.
It takes years of dedicated abuse to send you to the edge of no return. One, slow, misspent, bad eating, no moving, butt on the couch, day at a time, done year-after-year until you become the very thing you swore would never happen to you… the couch hog complete with the too small tee shirt covering too little of too much of you stuffed in pizza stained sweatpants purchased three sizes too big but now perfectly form fitting for the new enlarged you.
Workouts today are for tomorrow.
We lay the foundation for future health one workout at a time.
Looking better today is a driver to get moving, but imagining who you want to be as an older, healthier and so much fitter you is what real fitness is all about.
Every day you make a choice to move.
Every day that little bit of fitness today builds the person you so need to be out there in the future.
But you had to start, and today might be as good as a day as you will ever find to change your life.
